As a culmination to a unit on how pollution affects our environment, the seventh grade had the exciting opportunity to hear from three guest speakers who shared their knowledge about the problems facing our local lakes and the efforts being made to solve them. Mr. Mike Roeger is a Lieutenant with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Parks and Watercraft Division at Indian Lake. Mrs. Natalie Foos is the land and water resources Administrator for the Division of Parks and Watercraft. And Mr. Dave Faler is the Manager for Grand Lake State Park. Each speaker focused on different issues such as pollution, invasive species, and habitat loss, while also highlighting real-world solutions like community clean-up efforts and conservation projects. It was a great chance for students to learn how they can make a positive impact on the environment right here at home.

VARSITY SOFTBALL VS BELLEFONTAINE! Today at 11 am.

Tonight Cridersville's Young Historian's Club hosted a Family Fun Night.

Ethan Jeanneret, WMS 7th grader, threw out the first pitch at tonight's softball game tonight. Ethan was born with a heart defect that wasn’t discovered until he was four months old. At 22 months, he underwent open-heart surgery where doctors found two holes—one was repaired, and the other was left to help reduce lung pressure. He was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and has been treated and monitored by Nationwide Children’s Hospital since. In 2022, doctors began discussing the need for a lung transplant. After being admitted to the hospital in October 2024 for another heart surgery, it was determined he needed a double lung transplant, which he received in December. Ethan is now recovering well, and it was a joy to see him at the game tonight, full of life.

VARSITY SOFTBALL VS CELINA! Today at 5:30 pm.
