Congratulations to Makahla Schnarre, a PSAT (National Merrit Test) FINALIST! Makahla is part of the top few percent of students to reach this level. Makahla is the daughter of Thomas and Amy Schnarre.

Grace LaMarr, Alex Honigford and Grant Honigford hold plaques of appreciation from the Special Olympics swim team. These coaches worked an hour each Sunday at the Wapakoneta Y, assisting with swim practice.



The Food and Culture’s class learned about life in Africa today from Acacia of Hope, a mission that provides clean water to people in Kenya. Michelle’s class has raised key to purchase 8 water filters so far this year. This means eight families in Kenya will receive clean and pure water for the next 10 years! The class is continuing to fundraise for the rest of the year. If anyone would like to donate they can contact Michelle Gearing at gearmi@wapak.org.


Ryland Kohler, a 5th grader at Wapak Middle School loves to help with a classmate who is wheelchair-bound and he volunteers to vacuum the front office area. Thank you Ryland for continuing to work on being responsible, respectful, and safe and thank you for being a Redskin.


Congratulations to Jace Knous, placing 5th (alternate) and Cael Rostorfer placing 4th on qualifying for the State Tournament! This is the 30th year in a row that Wapakoneta has had a state qualifier. These two young men are part of an amazing legacy.


7th and 8th grade track athletes: First practice is Monday from 3:15-4:45 p.m. at the middle school gym. Even if you have not been cleared to participate yet, please plan on attending as we will be going over beneficial information. Parents, there will be an informational parent meeting on Wednesday, March 9th from 4:45 to 5 p.m. in the middle school cafeteria.
