👊 Today is Para Educator Appreciation Day — and we couldn't let it pass without recognizing some of the most hardworking, patient, and dedicated people in our schools. Our para educators go above and beyond to support students, teachers, and classrooms in so many ways. They’re problem solvers, encouragers, and team players—and they make a real difference every single day. To all of our amazing para educators: thank you for everything you do. You are truly appreciated. ❤️ #BeBetter #ParaEducatorAppreciationDay #ThankYouParas

🎉 Please help us welcome Emma Rex to the Wapakoneta City Schools staff! Emma will join the Cridersville Elementary team next school year, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her back in the district where it all began. Emma graduated from Xavier University with her undergraduate degree in Primary Education in December 2023. She continued at Xavier to earn her M.Ed. in TESOL while working full time in campus ministry, graduating in December 2024. She will also receive her Reading Endorsement in May 2025! Emma is an avid runner currently training for her seventh and eighth half marathons! 🏃‍♀️💨 When asked about joining WCS, Emma shared: ✨ “I am so excited to be a part of WCS because it played such a significant role in shaping me into the person I have become. Without the foundation of Cridersville first, followed by the rest of my years as a WCS student, I would have a much smaller view of what it means to be a part of a community that values one another and seeks to serve. I am honored to start my teaching career within the same walls that my passion for teaching began.” Welcome home, Emma! ❤️

📢 Welcome to Wapakoneta City Schools, Ashley Gross! 🍎 We are thrilled to introduce Ashley Gross as the newest member of our CES team! 🎉 She will be an Intervention Specialist and is excited to continue to work with our amazing students and families. From Ms. Gross: I received my bachelor’s degree in speech language pathology from The University of Toledo. I later decided to go back for my intervention specialist license at The University of Findlay, where I also received my master’s in education. Overall I have about 9 years of experience in education, with 5 of those years specifically teaching. In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and pets and travel. I am excited to join WCS and continue help students learn and grow to the best of their abilities! Please join us in giving Ms. Gross a warm welcome to the Wapakoneta City Schools' family! Drop a comment below to say hello!
