The high school band students in grades 8-12 did an amazing job at the Christmas concert last evening!
Our Academic Team finished in second place at the Allen County academic tournament this week!
We have a lot to be proud of this week at Wapakoneta Elementary! On Wednesday, the Noon Optimists Club recognized four of our students for their outstanding character inside and outside of the classroom as their Students of the Month from WES for September-December. Today, we got to announce our Redskin Way Students of the Month for November, as well as our 4th Grade Top Skin. Congratulations to all and Go Skins!
Congratulations to our WMS and districtwide students on being recognized as Noon Optimist Students of the Month! Representing the middle school was Hope Erb, Caiden Luchini, Max Bailey, and Lucas Brinkman.
The WHS French Club is helping make Christmas special this year! They donated toys to Wapak First Church and the Auglaize County Job and Family Services who are helping provide toys and clothing to needy families
Wapakoneta City Schools are looking for an individual who is interested in serving on our School Board. The appointee would be interviewed by the Board and would start at our next meeting tentatively scheduled for December 18. This person would then have the opportunity to be re-appointed at our January meeting to serve the next two years. If you are interested, or you know someone who is, please complete the application and return it by December 8. The application is available on our website, our Facebook page, and hard copies will be available at our administration building, 1102 Gardenia Drive.
This week, we celebrated Kindness Week sponsored by the Kindness Council with daily dress-up themes, service projects, and kindness challenges. We recognized our Kindness Heroes with an ice cream party. It was a fun week leading us into the season of gratitude and giving! A special thanks to the Kindness Council and Miss Abby!
