Wapakoneta High School provides a safe and secure learning environment in which high educational expectations are held. We offer our students a traditional comprehensive education that includes a core of academic subjects and a variety of elective strands.

Wapakoneta City Schools are known throughout the area for our high test scores, small class sizes, and low tax rates. Our high test scores are attributed to our outstanding group of teachers (many of which have advanced degrees within their field).

Wapakoneta High School has been an area leader since the adoption of state-wide testing and it has earned a place in Newsweek’s Top 100 high schools. Our elementary and middle schools are also well represented on the state-wide listings.

WHS has an outstanding student body! They are hardworking, loyal, and extremely spirited. We take pride in the fact that we are able to offer a wide selection of extracurricular and co-curricular activities throughout the school year which provide opportunities for our students to display their school spirit.

Various classes and programs are available for career and college-bound students. WHS wants to give each and every student an opportunity to explore the options for their future. With 7 institutions of higher learning located within 50 miles of Wapakoneta, our graduating students can remain close to home if they choose.
