On October 5 FBI Special Agent Caleb Williams spoke with parents and students in attendance about Sextortion and internet safety. A few important takeaways:
1) If your child can see the internet, the internet can see them.
2) Phones should never be behind closed doors.
3) Check your child's internet and message history regularly.
4) Talk to your children about risky behaviors on the internet.
5) No chats, discussion rooms, messenger programs are safe (Kik, snapchat, WhatsApp).
