Steven Wimmers, Director of Bands
Steven Wimmers has been at Wapakoneta City School since the summer 2001. His teaching responsibilities include directing the Marching Band, Symphonic Band and co-teaching the 5th-8th grade bands. Prior to coming to Wapakoneta he spent 2 years as director of bands, grades five through twelve, in the Riverdale Local Schools.
He is a graduate of Minster High School and received his Bachelor of Music and Masters in Education from Bowling Green State University. Mr. Wimmers is a member of Ohio Music Educators Association, Music Educators National Conference and Ohio Educators Association. He has served on the board for the Ohio indoor Performance Association where he was President for three years.
Mr. Wimmers resides in Troy, Ohio.
Mr. Quinn Scheider, Assistant Director of Bands
Quinn Schneider has been teaching at Wapakoneta City Schools since the summer of 2023. His teaching responsibilities include directing the High School Concert Band, co-teaching 5-8th grade band, and assisting with the High School Marching Band.
Mr. Schneider is a graduate of Bath Local Schools and received a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Capital University's Conservatory of Music. Mr. Schneider is a member of the Ohio Music Education Association and the National Association for Music Education.
Mr. Schneider resides in Lima, Ohio.
Ms. Kimberly Fletcher, Color Guard Instructor
Kimberly Fletcher is currently a first grade teacher at Cridersville Elementary. After graduating from Wapakoneta High School in 2003, Mrs. Fletcher received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Moving home to be closer to her family brought Mrs. Fletcher back to the area to educate the students in the Wapakoneta City School District. Starting in 2010, Mrs. Fletcher was a paraeducator teaching guided reading groups for two years before switching into a classroom teaching role. In 2011, Mrs. Fletcher accepted the position of Color Guard Director for the Wapakoneta Marching Redskins.
Mrs. Fletcher has four nephews and one niece with which she spends most of her free time. Mrs. Fletcher resides in Cridersville, Ohio.
