WHS Announcements

April 24, 2026

Today is the FINAL DAY to purchase tickets for this years' NEON PROM! If you haven't already, purchase your tickets today to join in the fun! We can't wait to see you there on Saturday, May 2nd! Tickets are available online through the school's ticketing page. Any questions see Mrs. M. Mullen or Mrs. Rosebrock. Thanks!

After next week, detentions and Tuesday schools will not be rescheduled for any reason. If you miss your assigned detention or Tuesday school, then it will become either an In-School Assignment or Alternative School placement. Be sure to check your email daily as we do send reminders out for detentions and Tuesday Schools.

It’s time to settle the score… Students vs. Teachers Field Day is coming, and you get to decide what goes down. Check your school email for a Google Form and cast your vote. Voting closes Friday, so don’t miss your chance to make it count. Will you challenge teachers on the volleyball court? Send them flying in the dunk tank? Battle it out in a kickball tournament? Or maybe watch teachers get pied in the face? There’s even a Family Feud: Teacher vs. Student edition. Choose wisely… this is your chance to make the teachers nervous. Get your votes in, and let the games begin.

The First on the Moon Board is sponsoring a utility box art contest, celebrating the 250th birthday of the USA, as well as celebrating and appreciating Wapakoneta's unique heritage as the home of Neil Armstrong.  Posters hanging around the school detail the requirements for the art contest.
