WHS Announcements

Seniors - Homecoming voting starts today.  The link has been sent to your email from Mrs. Courter.  The link is open from 8 am until 5 pm today only.  Senior students may vote for 12 girls and 12 boys.  There will be one more round of voting to determine court.  The court will consist of 6 couples (6 girls and 6 boys).  See Mrs. Courter if you have any questions.

Would you like to be part of the halftime show at a home football game?  8th grade students can join the Junior Flag Line and perform at the game on October 2nd.  Informational flyers are posted throughout the school.  Contact Mr. Wimmers for more information. 

Freshmen, are you interested in representing your class, and making a difference by running for class officer? Check your email for more details! 

The Octagon Club is selling Pink Out Shirts to raise money for the Auglaize County Cancer Association. Show your support by wearing your Pink Out shirt to the football game against Shawnee on October 2nd. Shawnee students and fans are also participating in the sale to help us support an important cause. The sale ends September 15th. Get your Pink Out shirt today and help us make a difference!

Any 8th grader interested in Quiz Bowl sign up outside of room B121 (Mrs. Schneider's room) by Friday Aug 28. Season begins mid-September.

Meetings

Attention all 10th Grade students, you will need to go to the PAC after morning announcements on Friday for a meeting.  Please bring something to write with.  This meeting will last all of RR.

All students interested in joining Art Club this year, there will be a meeting during RR this coming Monday, August 30th in Mrs. Follin's room C104.  We will discuss what the club is about if you are interested in coming.  Please sign up on the Google Classroom link displayed around the school.

Any girl interested in wrestling this winter should sign up in the office by Friday. 

Congratulations to the cross country teams that ran at Waynesfield yesterday competing in the 5 team Auglaize County Meet. Girls varsity placed 1st as a team with Kenzie Schneider winning the race as an individual, Olivia Hudnall placing 2nd, and Maci Neumeier placing 3rd, Alivia Gallaspie placing 6th and Kelsey Schneider placing 8th. Boys varsity placed 3rd as a team with Hans Sammetinger winning the race followed by teammates Wesley Snyder placing 6th and Jackson Serr placing 9th.

Junior high boys placed 2nd as a team with Ian Zwiebel placing 2nd, Jacob Schlosser placing 7th, and Daniel Anthony placing 8th. Junior high girls placed 2nd as a team with Evelyn Oen placing 2nd in the race, Serenity Stoneburner placing 6th and Zoey Lewis placing 8th.

The runners are back in action on Saturday at the Bob Schul Invitational at Milton Union.
