Promenade: 6:30 PM (high school gym)

Dinner: 7:30 PM (PAC parking lot)

Dance: 8:30-11 PM (Courtyard)

Post Prom: 10:30 PM-1 AM (HS gym/cafeteria/hallways/classrooms/PAC parking lot)

Detailed Information

The Junior Class Officers and a committee of parents have planned a fun-filled evening of dancing and socializing at Prom and a Post Prom full of many activities, great food and terrific prizes.

Eligible Persons: Wapakoneta High School juniors and seniors and their guests are invited to attend Promenade, Prom and Post Prom. Guests must be at least a junior in high school. In addition, guests must be under the age of twenty-one.

Ticket Information: Prom tickets are $40 per person; $75 for couples (includes dinner, dance, post prom, t-shirt) or $15 for post prom ONLY Tickets will be sold online for this event, through Hometown Ticketing, just as they were during Homecoming. Tickets will become available online beginning on April 13 th and will remain for sale until Friday, April 29 th at 11:59pm. Students may purchase tickets at www.wapak.org/onlineticketordering.aspx and direct to the Prom/Post Prom sections. Students will navigate to the Prom icon and order there. Additionally, tickets will not be sold at the door.

Promenade: Once again, Prom will feature a Promenade! The Promenade will start at 6:30 PM on Saturday, May 7th, in the high school gymnasium. High School doors will open at 6:00 PM. The students will be announced as they walk through an archway and across the gym floor. Parents, grandparents, and community members are invited to attend while the students “strut their stuff”. The Coronation of the 2022 Homecoming King and Queen will take place at the conclusion of promenade

Dinner: Dinner, catered by The Side Rail, will be served at 7:30 PM. All students who are attending Prom must arrive by 7:30 PM. Students and their guests will have three entree options: Sun Dried Chicken Parmesan, Roast Beef and chicken breast or Vegetarian Lasagna. All three entrees will be served with green beans & twice baked mashed potatoes. Lemonade & water will also be provided. For Dessert, prom goers will be treated to Myla’s Frozen Yogurt

Dance: The dance will be held at Wapakoneta High School in the Jason Court Kline Courtyard beginning at 8:30 PM and continuing through 11:00 PM. This will be the final performance by our DJs the Bad Apples! Students who leave the Prom will not be readmitted. Security will be provided by the Wapakoneta Police Department at this event.

Post Prom: Post Prom will be held at Wapakoneta High School beginning at 10:30 PM and will conclude at 1 AM. Those attending post prom should not arrive earlier than 10pm or later than 10:30pm.. Students may purchase tickets at www.wapak.org/onlineticketordering.aspx and direct to the Prom/Post Prom sections. Tickets for Post Prom only are $15. If a student or their guest opts to leave prom or post prom they will not be permitted to re-enter. Students who attended the dance will be given a secure, safe place to change from formal attire to post prom attire.

Post Prom Activities: A wide variety of activities will be available at Post Prom including inflatables, axe throwing, mini putt putt, escape rooms, Singo and quarterback blitz. Additionally, giant jenga and yard pong, Minute to Win it games, as well as cornhole, spike ball and ping pong tournaments with cash prizes for winners and runner ups. A BBQ food truck, pizza, Max’s ice cream and a coffee bar will be provided. Many valuable prizes, including ome top prizes including: Apple Watches, Laptop, Lululemon gift cards (yes, cards with an s!), Ugly stick Carbon Fishing poles, 8- person tent, Hammock, hydroflasks, his/her Ray Ban sunglasses, Redskin spirit package. Hydoflask picnic cooler, crossfit 1 mo pass to FIT plus much more!!!. Winners must be present to win. Parent volunteers plan and supervise all Post Prom festivities.

Post Prom Parent Donation Request: The Post Prom ticket price does not cover the cost of all the activities, entertainment, food and prizes. We are fortunate to have the generous support of many local businesses and service organizations who are committed to providing a safe after prom venue for our kids. We also rely on donations from our parents and community. Please consider supporting this event with a $10.00 donation or more. No drugs, tobacco products, or alcoholic beverages: Anyone suspected of using alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in Prom or Post Prom and his/her parents will be called. Prom and Post Prom will be chaperoned by parent volunteers with the support of the Wapakoneta Police Department Auxiliary.
