Counselor's Message
Hello and WELCOME BACK!! I hope you and your family had a wonderful and relaxing summer vacation. My name is Mrs. Leidy, and I am thrilled to be the new school-based counselor at Cridersville Elementary! I am confident this is going to be a fun year filled with learning, growing, and lots of new adventures. I cannot wait to get to know you, your family, and most importantly, your child.
First, I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little bit about me. I am a 2007 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School. I earned my bachelor’s degree in applied health science from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Cincinnati. After experiencing the profound loss of my first son, I felt a deep calling to the field of mental health. I recently graduated with a second master’s in clinical counseling. In my free time, I enjoy making memories with my husband, son, and golden retriever.
As a clinical counselor, I am able to focus on your child’s education, as well as their social and emotional needs. I am committed to fostering your child’s personal development, emotional growth and regulation, social well-being, and conflict resolution. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with Mr. Cutnaw, teachers, staff, and you to create a positive and supportive learning environment for your child. I will be meeting with students individually and in small groups and conducting classroom lessons to benefit and meet the needs of the CES community. I speak a language of hope and blend respect, empathy, curiosity, humor, creativity, and patience when working with students.
If you have any questions or if there is anything I can do to assist your child, please contact me. I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to pursue my passion. I look forward to supporting your child and empowering them to be the best version of themselves.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Megan Leidy, MA
