WCS PD Academy (Ashland University Credit)

Earn Graduate Credit for Attending Professional Development

The Wapakoneta PD Academy  is set up for online registration.  To the right are the instructions for participants in your district to register, please complete this information if you would like Ashland credit.  This is for certified staff members that are employed by Wapakoneta City Schools.

Courses are available for 1, 2, or 3 credit hours.  For each credit-hour you are applying for you must attend 12.5 hours of Professional Development and complete a reflection regarding how the PD impacted your thinking and what practices you will implement as a result of the PD.  After you have registered for the course, I will send you a record and reflection form.  Any combination of after-school PD or PD offered on October 5th, November 19 or February 15 is acceptable.  Summer PD will also be accepted.  Other training could potentially be accepted but I would recommend checking with me before you register to be certain.

2018-2019 Online Registration Instructions

Please follow these instructions to use the Ashland University ONLINE registration for your school system.Go to the Ashland website to register for graduate credit: www.ashland.edu

  1. Click on https://www.ashland.edu/founders/professional-development-service

  1. On the right, click on DISTRICT LOGIN

  1. Enter the USER NAME: WPKNT and PIN:  WPKNT  

  1. Select class                        

            The list of classes held in your district will appear.  Find the class title you will be taking.

  1. Click the green “register for this course” button at the bottom of the description.  

  1. Personal Information  

            The AU registration form will appear.  Complete the AU form. Submit.


  1. Pay for Classes

      To pay for the class use the drop down menu for “choose one of the following”

  1. Select register now and check out.

  2. Choose payment type  (2.7 % fee for credit card payments and a $2.95 fee for electronic checks applied)

  1. You will receive an email confirmation of your registration; PRINT a copy for your records.


      
      
If you prefer an electronic copy of the paper registration form is available at: http://www1.ashland.edu/founders/professional-development-services/pds-registration-form  Mail the completed registration with payment to the address listed on the form.
