This is my fifth year as a teacher. I am really enjoying myself although I find I am very busy all the time! The kids make all of the extra work worth it!
I am originally from New Philadelphia, Ohio, a town similar to Wapakoneta. I graduated in December of 2002, from Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio. I earned my Masters Degree through Wright State University in Science Teaching in Education (MST) in 2004. My goal is to one day become a professor at the collegiate level and educate others on becoming excellent teachers.
I was married on New Year's Eve of 2003, to Seth Watson. Seth and I met our freshman year at Otterbein. He is a seventh and eighth grade math teacher at McBroom Jr. High in St. Marys. He coaches football and basketball. We reside in St. Marys. We just had our first child in September. His name is Carter and he is pure joy! We also have a golden retriever named Tana who is still adjusting to not being the baby anymore.
When I am not teaching...or getting my kindergarten materials ready each week, I enjoy reading, playing tennis and taking bike rides with my husband.
