November 2018 Update

Cridersville Elementary has completed their second fund raising opportunity for The Wounded Warrior Project. The goal for this fundraiser was to raise $125.00. Allowing the students to place votes on who will win the Ohio State versus Xichigan game, the students and parents surprised everyone by donating just over $200. Our total for the year is now just over $600.00.  This money will be donated at the end of the school year. There are many more opportunities this year to continue to raise additional funds.

On November 5th, staff of Cridersville grabbed their aprons and clocked in for work at the McDonalds here in Wapakoneta. From 5-7pm, parents and community members visited for dinner to help raise money for our building.  This was a fun evening that made the school $250.00. Thank you to all involved in making this such a huge success including Mr. Rex delivering food to the tables.

We would like to thank the United Methodist Church for helping with our annual Christmas canned-good kick off campaign. Mr. Jeff Reichelderfer and Mrs. Melanie Reichelderfer brought students from Wapak High School and Wapak Middle School to perform a puppet show and rhythm drumming presentation on Friday November 16th. This was a great way to talk to the students about the joys of giving for this upcoming holiday season. Hopefully you all had a chance to see Facebook and see Mr. Wolke as a shark dancing to “Baby Shark”. A special thank you goes to the High School and Middle School administration for allowing their students to visit our building on this morning.

Parent-Teacher conferences began and ended very positively this 2018-2019 school year. We had a great turn out of parents and families. It was our goal to reach 100% of our families this year whether face to face or by phone. Thank you to the teachers and support staff for putting in a great deal of effort to share with parents how wonderful their children are.

Teachers and support staff are continuing to drive instruction in the classroom using techniques from TBT meetings. The presentations given by the staff during these meetings are certainly enjoyable and have created a positive energy during the planning of future lessons.
