Talented and Gifted Program
The Wapakoneta City Schools Talented and Gifted Program (TAG) will provide challenging differentiated programming options for high ability students.

Objectives

  • To provide appropriate level and pacing of instruction for high ability students.
  • To provide opportunities in creative thinking and problem solving for high ability students.
  • To provide learning environments allowing peer interaction with others who have similar talents and interests.
  • To expose students to long-term career options.
  • To provide students with opportunities to explore and develop acceptance of individual strengths and shortcomings.

Referrals for Superior Cognitive, Content Areas, and the Arts are due for Fall testing by October 22nd and for Spring Testing by April 1st.   

Superior Cognitive testing for 3rd and 6th Grade will take place October 5-9.  Reading and Math screenings take place durring STAR testing in April.
